About the club
Kanotklubben Strömstararna is a whitewater kayaking club in Stockholm that has been around since 1978. We paddle in central Stockholm all year round, if it is free from ice that is. The proper translation of our club’s name would be Dipper Canoe Club but we much prefer the Swenglish version Streamstars.
We are one of the biggest and most active kayak clubs in Sweden and we provide regular trainings (in Stockholms Ström during the summer season and indoors at Eriksdalsbadet during winter). In addition, we also arrange a lot of club trips to nice rivers in Sweden and to the rest of the world.
The Clubhouse
Our clubhouse is beutifully situated next to the water on Holmamiralens Torg 14 on the island of Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm. We have a dressing room, showers and a sauna which is really nice to have after a cold paddle in January. We also have storage areas for kayaks and kit.
